Stump the Professor

Conference attendees are invited to submit interesting and perplexing clinical cases for discussion by master clinicians. These should be submitted in the same format as Abstracts, and indicated that they are for this session. These abstracts should have the pertinent details of the cases. The cases will be presented, by the person submitting, as “unknowns”. Abstracts selected for this session will be edited by the moderator (although please try to roughly be consistent with word and space restrictions for abstracts), so that what is printed in the abstract book will not reveal the diagnosis. If your case is selected for this session, please do not share the diagnosis with others, as it is more enjoyable for the audience and the Professors to approach these exercises as an unknown. For cases selected, you will be asked to provide slides in digital format that you will propose to show at the meeting. Slides will need to be sent to the moderator for editing one month in advance of the meeting.

If your case is selected for this session, your rewards will be enhancing the pleasurable experience of the meeting overall, presenting the case from the podium at the session, publication of the abstract with your name in the programme, possibly publication of the case report in the supplement, a full refund of your registration fee (or an equivalent cash amount in some cases), and a free ticket to the social event (or refund if you have already paid). Applicants for scholarships and submitters of other abstracts are fully welcomed to participate in this session as well.
